AFJROTC
VAL BIGGER, MAJOR, USAF (RET)
I grew up in a small Wyoming town enjoying every outdoor activity possible and many close friends, graduating from the University of Wyoming with a science education degree and an Air Force commission to fly jets and helicopters, which honestly, was a heck of a lot of fun. I left all that behind with 20 years of memories, experiences, more friends, and more schooling (which I do NOT love) in aerospace studies and biblical theology to work in Christian ministry, then came to Mayfield High School to teach my second passion: flying and everything aerospace related. I love designing, building, and flying airplanes, rockets, near-space balloons, drones, and anything else that defies gravity, and I love doing it in Las Cruces and at Mayfield and with the greatest people in the world, but I’m most proud of my two grown kids who constantly seek adventure around the world and my wife who somehow keeps track and takes care of us all.
