International Welcome Center

A program designed to assist students with the transition process of coming to a new country.

What Exactly is an "International Welcome Center"?

  • Provides supplemental services to immigrant, migrant, international, English Learner (EL) students.

  • Advising EL students, international, and immigrant students and their families about grade placement, academic profiles, and educational opportunities.

¿Qué es exactamente una “International Welcome Center: (IWC por su iniciales en inglés)?

  • Provee servicios suplementarios a estudiantes inmigrantes, migrantes, internacionales y estudiantes Bilingües Emergentes (formalmente conocidos como Aprendices de Inglés (EL)).

  • Asesorar a estudiantes Bilingües Emergentes, estudiantes internacionales e inmigrantes y sus familias sobre la colocación de grados, perfiles académicos y oportunidades educativas.

  • Do you speak another language besides English?

  • Would you be interested in obtaining your State Seal of Bilingualism/Biliteracy?

  • If so, pick up an application from your English teacher, Foreign Language teacher or from Mrs. Sanchez’s in Room 132

You do not have to be in the bilingual program and it can be ANY other language!
