The New Mexico School for the Arts is thrilled to bring a dynamic and creative poetry workshop to Las Cruces in collaboration with NMSU’s Borderlands & Ethnic Studies Research Center.
Leading the workshop are Santana Shorty (Navajo), NMSA Creative Writing Department Chair; acclaimed poet, artist, and activist Olivia Romo; and Killian Crespín, NMSA 2025 Creative Writing alum.
This workshop is open to students ages 12–18. Join us Saturday, June 14th, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Garcia Center at NMSU (2985 S. Locust St.), located in the Garcia Annex, rooms 234 & 238, to explore your poetic voice.
