Congratulations to the Technology Support Services team at LCPS for earning the NMSBA Excellence in Student Achievement Award!

Congratulations to the Technology Support Services (TSS) team at LCPS for earning the NMSBA Excellence in Student Achievement Award.

“As a team, they support over 30,000 staff and student devices, maintain the entire school network, and managed the overall cybersecurity of the school district,” said Board Secretary, Robert Wofford.

“Since COVID, the role of technology has changed drastically. During the '23-'24 school year, this team finished the installation of over 2,000 Mimio Boards in all classrooms in LCPS.

Additionally this team has overseen the technical upgrade of all Performance Arts Labs and the Performing Arts Center at Organ Mountain High School.

This year, all school sites have been an improvement in the range of Wi-Fi on their campuses, as well as the speed of Wi-Fi.

More importantly, the TSS team works more closely with schools and students than ever before. Though, their work is often in the background, and usually no one even thinks about technology until something goes wrong. It’s not every year you have a ransomware [attack].

What TSS does for LCPS, is essential to students and achievement. They provide a safe secure, reliable technology experience for all learners.

We thank you very much, for what you are doing on behalf of the students in our district. It’s a well-deserved honor that you have received,” said Wofford.
