Summer students in Las Cruces Public Schools’ Class of 2024 will participate in commencement exercises on Friday, June 28 at Las Cruces High School. The ceremony will take place inside the gym at 6 p.m. and doors will open at 5 p.m.  

The event is a coordinated effort by all LCPS high school principals. The welcome address and pledge of allegiance will be led by Gabriela Alaniz, principal at Arrowhead Park Early College High School and Las Cruces High’s principal, Brenda Ballard, will deliver the introductions. Jeff Brilliant, principal at Centennial High School, will address the Class of 2024, followed by Julie Maestas, principal at Rio Grande Preparatory Institute, who will officially present the Class of 2024 and Louie Lucero, principal at Organ Mountain High School, will read the names of graduates. The LCPS Board of Education is entrusted with the presentation of diplomas, immediately followed by the turning of the tassel, led by Mayfield High School’s principal, Eric Fraass.  

Friday’s commencement exercises will be broadcast live on LCPS-TV's YouTube channel.

 Summer graduation seniors and guests are asked to park in the lot accessible by Boutz Road, between the LCHS practice field and the track.
