On April 17, Las Cruces Public Schools will collaborate with New Mexico State University to combine the Elevate New Mexico: College and Career Expo with Plan My Future into a single, comprehensive event.
This event will bring together career pathways, including energy and energy-related industries, along with partners from local and national businesses. High school students from across Southern New Mexico, as well as students from NMSU and Doña Ana Community College, will have the opportunity to connect with industry professionals in a one-stop shop event.
More than 1,500 high school students from Doña Ana, Luna, Grant, Hidalgo, Otero, Sierra, Lincoln, Eddy and Lea counties are invited to attend. Students will gain hands-on experience and explore a wide range of career opportunities across New Mexico.
Students will spend the day on the NMSU campus, where they will take part in a campus and pathway tour, participate in two workshops and a large equipment expo. The event provides a valuable opportunity for students to envision their future while engaging with local businesses and local industry experts.
The Career and Technical Education team at LCPS is partnering with the Bridge of Southern New Mexico, El Paso Electric, and FirstLight Federal Credit Union to support this event.
The Elevate New Mexico: Energy and Career Expo and Plan My Future will happen on Friday, April 17 from 8:30 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. at NMSU, located at 1780 E. University Ave., on the Horseshoe.
