LCPS parents,
The district is closely monitoring a social media rumor related to school violence. We want to reassure you that threats made towards our students are taken seriously, and that recent national events are likely contributing to these social media posts.
LCPS is currently working with school resource officers on campus and with local law enforcement, who have determined these threats to be unsubstantiated.
Thank you for your continued partnership in keeping our schools safe.

Queremos asegurarles que las amenazas dirigidas a nuestros estudiantes se toman en serio, y que los recientes acontecimientos nacionales probablemente contribuyen a dichas publicaciones en los medios sociales.

Thank you to our community partners from the Sprouts Foundation! The Las Cruces Public Schools Nutrition Services Department was awarded $10,000 from the Sprouts Foundation for child nutrition.
The money will be used to revive the school garden at Valley View Elementary and help children learn the importance of healthy eating habits. Students along with teacher participation will learn to harvest fruits and vegetables.
Students will learn about sustainable agriculture and the importance of nature. Social and emotional development will be promoted by helping students recognize a sense of place and belonging. #SproutingHealthyCommunitiesDay
